Black Mountain Boulevard Project Update

New Black Mountain Boulevard Road
Open to the Public at Pinnacle Peak Road

As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, the new segment of Black Mountain Boulevard (BMB) between Pinnacle Peak Road and Rough Rider Road will be open to drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians. The posted speed limit is 40 mph.

Important Traffic Control Changes:
1.The intersection at Pinnacle Peak Road and BMB has a new traffic signal to assist with left turn movements from Pinnacle Peak Road.

2.BMB between Deer Valley Road and Pinnacle Peak Road will now be a thru street. Rough Rider Road traffic heading west will have to STOP at BMB and yield to the north and southbound traffic.

Use caution when traveling (motor/pedestrian/bicycle/equestrian) through the construction area and observe barricading and signage at all times. Most importantly, slowdown in the work zone!

SR 51 On-and Off-Ramps and Pedestrian Bridge

Dates:
May 2015 to May 2016

Activity:

Construct the new on-and off-ramp earth embankments, drainage structures, bridge support shafts, pedestrian bridge, roundabout, roadway paving, landscaping, and cleanup.

Restrictions:

No restrictions at this time.
